Listen
each Wednesday morning at 8:30am for KFAV's Random Act Of
Kindness, as we go into homes, hospitals, offices, and schools,
surprising people who have either gone through some hardship,
or have been on the other side helping others.

After
years of dreaming of attending a St. Louis Cardinals
baseball game, Helen Holle’s dream finally came
true.
Dr.Easterday of the Elsberry Health Care Center surprised
Holle with Cardinals Baseball tickets for her birthday.
The game took place on the evening ofAug. 21, with the
Cardinals winning 5-2 against the Florida Marlins.
"It was the best day I ever had,” said Holle.
This random act of kindness moved workers of the Health
Care Center so much that one employee, Lisa Richardson
of Elsberry, nominated Easterday for 99.9FM KFAV’s
weekly Random Act of Kindness Award.
“Dr. David Easterday should be considered for
the Random Act of Kindness because he comes to see several
of our residents and there is one resident in particular,
Helen Holle, who has always been a huge Cardinals fan.
He invited Helen to join him at the Cardinals game on
August 21 for her birthday,” said Richardson .
“It's not everyday a person has a wish come true
and Helen's did because of the kind-hearted actions
of Dr. Easterday. His actions should be recognized,”
said Richardson .
Steve Kaspar, owner of Kaspar Broadcasting Company surprised
Dr. Easterday at his work with an on-the-spot live radio
interview and presented him with a dozen roses donated
by the Troy Flower and Gift Shop. Present were his wife,
daughter, Holle, Richardson and many other loving friends
and co-workers.
